SETX® - South- East Europe Traded Index

The SETX is a capitalization-weighted price index consisting of blue chip stocks traded on stock exchanges in the region of South-eastern Europe. Currently the SETX includes stocks listed in Bucharest, Ljubljana, Sofia, Belgrade and Zagreb. Calculated in EUR and USD it is disseminated in real-time by Wiener Börse. SETX is designed as a tradable index and serves as underlying for structured products.

Main Features of the SETX:

  • Dividend payments are not considered
  • Free float: percentage of its shares which are effectively available for trading. Possible free float factors that an index member can have: 0.10 - 0.20 – 0.30 - 0.40 - 0.50 – 0.60 - 0.70 - 0.80 - 0.90 - 1.00.
  • Representation factors can take values between 0.01 and 1.00 and are used to avoid that an index member exceeds a max. weighting cap of 20% and a market a max. weighting cap of 40%.
  • UCITS III
  • Calculation if at least one of the stock exchanges in Bucharest, Ljubljana or Zagreb is open for trading.
  • New index values are triggered in real-time by new prices in the index stocks, as well as by the currency updates, which occur every two minutes during the calculation period.
  • Changes to the index composition and market weighting review on a semi annual basis.
  • Quarterly reviews of the calculation parameters
  • The criteria for index membership is the capitalized free float.
  • SETX universe: ordinary shares of joint-stock companies domiciled in Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbian and Slovenia listed and traded at the local official stock exchange.
