Due to its cooperation with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Vienna Stock Exchange offers for the
first time an index based on Chinese A-shares. The CNX is meant to package the most liquid and
highest capitalized shares of the Shanghai stock exchange in a tradable index. Thus the CNX
represents an excellent benchmark for the development of the Chinese stock market.
