Review - Periodic overhaul and adjustment
All decisions regarding periodic adjustments and changes of an index composition are taken by
the index committee (decision making body) and implemented by the index management. All decisions
of the index committee and the effective dates of possible changes have to be published immediately
after the index committee meeting.
The index committee is composed as follows:
March
/ June /
September
/ December
Quarterly review and adjustment of the calculation values (number of shares, FFF, RF)
March /

Semi-annual committee meetings and decisions regarding changes in the index
compositions
Ordinary adjustments (periodical adjustments)
Are implemented after the close of trading on the last trading day of index derivatives
(expiry date is normally the third Friday every month)
Extra- ordinary adjustments
Are event-driven and are implemented following resolutions of the index emergency committee.
The index emergency committee is composed of voting members of the ordinary index committee.
Meetings take place personally, per telephone, FAX or e-mail and decisions are communicated
immediately afterwards.
Examples of events requiring extraordinary adjustments are: share splits, reverse share
splits, capital increases, mergers, new listings (via the fast entry rule), dividend payments (for
performance indices), bonus share issues, etc.
